Abstract

In this research we suggest applying NbS typologies, criteria, and implementation practices for the design of integrated settlement systems which shall include new temporary but reversible functions for both the post-event and the ‘peacetime’ phases within the institutional framework of strategic urban planning. Finally, in the current national debate between prevention and emergency policies, the research aims to highlight the necessity to consider the NBS approach as a priority.
