This chapter presents a brief overview of organic nanoparticles used for biocatalysis, especially polymers, biopolymers, and metal−organic frameworks. Advantages and disadvantages of immobilization are also discussed. Finally, some examples of application in the field of chemical, pharmaceutical, and medical device industries are presented. The objective of this chapter is to provide a simple review of what is being studied in relation to organic supports for enzymes immobilization and some discussions, aimed at assisting researchers in future studies.
