In this contribution, we investigate the possibility to realize a millimeter-wave wireless link through the radiative near-field coupling of TE-polarized Bessel beams generated by leaky-wave resonant cavities. In previous works, only TM and hybrid-TE polarizations, rather than a pure TE polarization, were excited through typical feeders such as vertical coaxial probes and loop antennas. Here, we propose and validate with full-wave results a radial-slot array feeding technique as an effective solution to generate almost pure TE-polarized Bessel beams. Finally, the study of a complete wireless power transfer scenario (WPT) is presented.
