Il terrore nei dati. Saperi ed expertise nel settore terroristico

The essay focuses on the interpretation of some correlations between areas of expertise, embedded knowledge and terrorist events. After the attacks of 11 September 2001, studies on terrorism have become a prolific investigation field in which documental sources and research agencies multiplies. Therefore, starting from studies and documental researches made by experts, the practises of “discursive economy” which goal is to create and naturalize a certain colonial look on the victim and on oriental space are described.

L’articolo individua e analizza le correlazioni scientifiche tra i saperi embedded, poteri e terrorismi. Dopo gli attentati dell’11 settembre 2001, infatti, gli studi sul terrorismo diventano un prolifico campo d’indagine in cui si moltiplicano fonti documentali e agenzie di ricerca. Pertanto, partendo da studi e ricerche documentali prodotti da expertises di settore si descrivono le pratiche di “economia discorsiva” volte a costruire e naturalizzare un certo sguardo coloniale sulla vittima e spazio orientale.
