This paper presents the preliminary results of the activities conducted by the University of Messina between 2015 and 2018, in collaboration with Soprintendenza di Messina, Parco Archeologico di Tindari and CNR-ISPC Catania, in the area of the Roman Villa of Patti (ME). The excavations, the studies of the pottery, the drawings of the construction techniques, the interpretation of the wall stratigraphies, allowed to develop a first chronological sequence of the transformation phases in the area, from the Hellenistic Age until the Early Medieval Period, with the identification of six main periods of frequentation.
