The transition process towards a circular and sustainable economic model (s.c. Circular Economy), requires a huge commitment from all the actors involved, on the technological, social and political side. Although this paradigm is being established at the global level, the actions that characterize it often have a local scale and impact. To ensure that this transition process takes place in a balanced and measurable way, it is necessary to identify immediately useful approaches and tools to define models for the implementation of potential solutions in different contexts, which may differ from a geographic, socio-economic, technological and product-related point of view. This article, through the description of the MAX-SHEEP research project, presents and discusses the results of an overview and systematization of the main tools potentially supporting the development of the different phases of an eco-industrial model of sheep supply chain.

Abstract
The transition process towards a circular and sustainable economic model (s.c. Circular Economy), requires a huge commitment from all the actors involved, on the technological, social and political side. Although this paradigm is being established at the global level, the actions that characterize it often have a local scale and impact. To ensure that this transition process takes place in a balanced and measurable way, it is necessary to identify immediately useful approaches and tools to define models for the implementation of potential solutions in different contexts, which may differ from a geographic, socio-economic, technological and product-related point of view. This article, through the description of the MAX-SHEEP research project, presents and discusses the results of an overview and systematization of the main tools potentially supporting the development of the different phases of an eco-industrial model of sheep supply chain.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
