This work aims to define the prototype of an operational ecological vulnerability coastal service by leveraging Synthetic Aperture Radar, multi and hyperspectral sensors (e.g., Sentinel 1, Sentinel 2, PRISMA) to obtain a broad analysis of coastal ecosystems. For this purpose, three main categories of variables have been selected, including hydrometeorological forcing attributes, socio-economic variables, and biophysical factors, comprising the creation of an index to determine the level of coastal protection. More than 70 km of coastal areas in the Oristano Gulf, the island of Sicily (Italy), has been selected as a study case.
