This study examines the scavenging of PCBs, OCPs, and unknown compounds in snow using GC-Orbitrap analysis at Mount Terminillo, Italy. Activated Carbon Fiber (ACF) sampling revealed that snow accumulates higher pollutant concentrations than air. Various industrial and combustion-related compounds were identified. The findings highlight snow’s role in removing persistent organic pollutants from the atmosphere.

Abstract
This study examines the scavenging of PCBs, OCPs, and unknown compounds in snow using GC-Orbitrap analysis at Mount Terminillo, Italy. Activated Carbon Fiber (ACF) sampling revealed that snow accumulates higher pollutant concentrations than air. Various industrial and combustion-related compounds were identified. The findings highlight snow’s role in removing persistent organic pollutants from the atmosphere.File in questo prodotto:
