Quantitative data on marine litter were collected during Medits surveys carried out in the central and southern Tyrehenian sea (FAO-GSA 10) from 2017 to 2019. Plastic was the most abundant category in all years, occurring in 94,76% of the hauls. Preliminary analysis of geographical distribution of litter in GSA 10 showed relatively even distribution of light plastic.
