Abstract
The existence of the so-called Arago or Poisson’s spot, a luminous point at the center of the shadow of an opaque circular object, is demonstrated by repeating the famous diffraction experiment realized by Arago at the beginning of the XIXth century. This key experiment settled the controversial question of the nature of light in favor of the wave theory presented in those years by Fresnel.File in questo prodotto:
