The ArCOA project (Archivi e Collezioni dell’Oriente Antico), launched by the University of Milan and by the Institute of Heritage Science of the CNR, with the University of Turin as a research partner, aims at studying, communicating and promoting the Italian collections of ancient Near Eastern artefacts. This paper describes the main features of the ArCOA digital archive, designed for cataloguing and investigating the individual objects as well as the collections.
