GIS in archaeology represents the optimal solution for the collection, digitization, and homogenization of multisource data. In recent years, the WebGIS represents the evolution of GIS, as it allows a good spread on the Web. The construction of the geoDataBase concerns an easy-usable WebGIS consultation. Therefore, only Open Source software were used to create the “Sacred Coins” WebGIS. All information and links are available at the website http://sacredcoins. ispc.cnr.it/, managed through CMS (Content Management System) “Wordpress”, which is also completely Open Source.
