The insitu calibration methods and error propagation for the sensitivity and the cooling time of the gold metal foil bolometers were presented. The calibration procedure is divided into four phases, which includes 'cold' value of the bridge resistances, evaluation of heat resistances, correction of the value of the bridge resistances and evaluation of sensitivity. The sensitivity was determined through an electrical calibration, in which the effect of the cables connecting the bolometers to the powering circuit was considered. The optical calibration method was used to estimate the cooling time constant, in which the bolometer was stimulated by a light emitting diode.

Abstract
The insitu calibration methods and error propagation for the sensitivity and the cooling time of the gold metal foil bolometers were presented. The calibration procedure is divided into four phases, which includes 'cold' value of the bridge resistances, evaluation of heat resistances, correction of the value of the bridge resistances and evaluation of sensitivity. The sensitivity was determined through an electrical calibration, in which the effect of the cables connecting the bolometers to the powering circuit was considered. The optical calibration method was used to estimate the cooling time constant, in which the bolometer was stimulated by a light emitting diode.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
