Conductive polymers are deposited onto Au, C and Pt by anodic oxidation of carbazole and some of its N-substituted derivatives carried out in hydroalcoholic HClO4 solution. Two main redx processes are observed in cyclic voltammetry, the less anodic of which is fully reversible. Elemental analysis, IR and EPR data are given.
