The panel will contribute to the STS debate by addressing critical questions surrounding the intersection of technoscience and societal well-being, particularly in the context of aging populations. It directly engages with the ethical and epistemological challenges raised by “good” technoscientific practices based on jus- tice, inclusion and equitable access, by questioning how technological development can either empower or marginalize older adults and workers. The panel also questions how industry 5.0 and technologies reshape human-technology relations and emphasizes the transformative potential and ethical risks of integrat- ing cuttingedge technologies, such as AI and collaborative robotics, into the lives of ageing populations by addressing their socio-material implications for older workers and looking for age-centered designed strategies that benefit society at large.
