Agriculture faces an apparent paradox; it has to increase production to meet the goals of ending hunger and assuring food security, and, on the other hand, increase its sustainability. An important contribution to solve this apparent paradox can be made by Smart Agriculture through the use of technologies such as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) combined with the use of sensors of different types and techniques for analyzing and merging the data obtained from them to improve agronomic management. Using data from different sensing sources requires suitable methods of data fusion. The use of UAV application in precision agriculture together with the most advanced methods of data analysis and data fusion are described in the chapter. Finally, two study cases on pest control are presented.

Abstract
Finally, two study cases on pest control are presented.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
