The FOSSR Online Research Panel (ORP). An open service for research in the Social Sciences

The poster introduces the Online Research Panel (ORP), an opt-in panel established within the NextGenerationEU-funded FOSSR (Fostering Open Science in Social Science Research) project. The ORP serves as an open research infrastructure aimed at facilitating high-frequency data collection in the social and economic sciences and strengthening academic research and evidence-based policy. ORP consists of 10,000 adult residents in Italy, complemented by a reserve sample of 1,500 units, and is conceived as an Open Science service. It enables scholars, researchers, and representatives of public institutions to conduct online surveys for scientific purposes. The panel is calibrated to approximate the Italian adult population and supports both cross-sectional and longitudinal research designs. Data collected through ORP are anonymized and may be made openly available via the FOSSR Open Cloud, in line with FAIR principles.
