Abstract

The experimental evidence of W and Be dust mobilization and migration in several tokamaks, such as JET, FTU, ASDEX and TEXTOR, has stimulated attention to the physics of dust-wall interaction. An approach is presented here to interpret the characteristic ‘footprints’ of particles hitting the tokamak surface in solid or semi-liquid state.
