The Terme Vecciane of Aquinum in the municipality of Castrocielo (fr) represent an extraordinary example of Roman baths in many respects, due to their large extension, the number of rooms with the division for both sexes and the long period of use extended throughout the second half of the 1st century bc and the beginning of the 4th century AD. The contribution aims to analyze the original physiognomy of the balneum of Marcus Veccius, the Aquinas magistrate who financed its construction, examining in detail the constituent elements such as the external accesses, the rooms with their intended uses, the internal paths and the type of heating system adopted.
