The introduction celebrates the twentieth anniversary of the journal *Rocinante*, founded in 2005 as a theoretical space devoted to the study of Spanish and Latin American philosophy, with the aim of freeing it from marginalizing interpretations and affirming its autonomy. A central role is played by Giuseppe Cacciatore, as well as by the historiographical legacy of José Luis Abellán, who redefined Spanish philosophy as *pensamiento*—a form of reflection rooted in historical and cultural life rather than in abstract systems. The text highlights a methodological approach that understands the history of philosophy as part of a broader history of ideas, in line with the perspective of José Ortega y Gasset, according to whom ideas are always tied to specific vital circumstances. From this viewpoint, philosophy appears as a universal activity that nonetheless takes shape in historically and culturally situated forms. The monographic volume thus offers a dynamic overview of contemporary research, confirming *Rocinante* as a critical laboratory where philology and philosophy engage in dialogue. Spanish philosophy emerges as an open and vital field, marked by tensions between history and project, experience and concept, and still capable of questioning the present and the meaning of human experience.
