The paper examines a public archaeology project focused on the design and implementation of the exhibition Tiresias, the Myth in Your Hands at the National Museum of Matera. Particular attention was given to accessibility and the inclusion of visitors with sensory and cognitive disabilities, through the creation of replicas of ancient vases that facilitate tactile engagement. Tiresias serves as the narrative voice, guiding the audience along a symbolic journey. Just as Odysseus consulted the blind seer to navigate his return to Ithaca, visitors are invited to imagine themselves as travellers moving through the temporal dimension of the myth, gaining direct knowledge of the shapes of the vessels and the myths associated with them, thereby making the experience both accessible and inclusive.

Abstract
The paper examines a public archaeology project focused on the design and implementation of the exhibition Tiresias, the Myth in Your Hands at the National Museum of Matera. Particular attention was given to accessibility and the inclusion of visitors with sensory and cognitive disabilities, through the creation of replicas of ancient vases that facilitate tactile engagement. Tiresias serves as the narrative voice, guiding the audience along a symbolic journey. Just as Odysseus consulted the blind seer to navigate his return to Ithaca, visitors are invited to imagine themselves as travellers moving through the temporal dimension of the myth, gaining direct knowledge of the shapes of the vessels and the myths associated with them, thereby making the experience both accessible and inclusive.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
