Within the framework of the CHANGES Project and a CNR Institute Project funded by FOE 2022, the Archaeology in Lazio Research Group of CNR-ISPC carried out archaeological research in a sector of the Sabina Tiberina area, in northern Lazio (Province of Rieti). This paper presents the main results of the investigation, focusing on the impact of Roman occupation on pre-existing settlement patterns and economic organization, with particular attention to the development and transformation of the villa system over time. In addition, the project proposes strategies for the enhancement of archaeological sites and monuments, in accordance with the principles of the Faro Convention, aiming to promote sustainable tourism and support local employment and demographic revitalization.
