In 2017 and 2018, the Multidisciplinary Archaeological Mission of the CNR continued working at Tell el-Makshuta. The purpose of the mission is to provide an accurate documentation of the new findings as much as of the buildings discovered in preceding archaeological works, especially the great enclosure, still partially visible above the ground. In the last two campaigns, the archaeological excavation has given some additional data about the buildings on the Western side of the site, and a detailed analysis of the pottery has provided important information about its occupational phases. The last mission has proved that Tell el-Maskhuta represents a remarkable and fruitful archaeological site, opened to questions and research perspectives that the team will address in the long run.

Abstract
In 2017 and 2018, the Multidisciplinary Archaeological Mission of the CNR continued working at Tell el-Makshuta. The purpose of the mission is to provide an accurate documentation of the new findings as much as of the buildings discovered in preceding archaeological works, especially the great enclosure, still partially visible above the ground. In the last two campaigns, the archaeological excavation has given some additional data about the buildings on the Western side of the site, and a detailed analysis of the pottery has provided important information about its occupational phases. The last mission has proved that Tell el-Maskhuta represents a remarkable and fruitful archaeological site, opened to questions and research perspectives that the team will address in the long run.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
