Monte Antenne Fort, located in the northern part of Rome, was the object of a recent research study to analyze the conservation state of the wall cladding facing the internal courtyard. The investigations addressed an accurate Photogrammetric survey, creating a digital model of the analyzed wall in its current state of preservation. The survey also provided a shared metric-dimensional reference base, through an orthophoto, useful to integrate and interpret other analyses based on Ground Penetrating Radar, Ultrasonic Pulse Echo, and Acoustic Imaging. These techniques assessed the extent and the degree of the wall cladding detachment, as well as significant superficial delaminations of the tuff blocks particularly exposed to climatic variations and cycles of water absorption and evaporation. Initial results of the study are presented, with some reflections about the proposed integration approach.
