Between disciplinary recognition and public perspective: a logical-applicative model for knowledge and competences in DH. The contribution sets out a logical-applicative model that systematically organises knowledge and competences in DH within a comprehensive scheme. This highlights the opportunity to transfer them, as a valuable resource marked by a solid methodological framework, both to other research communities and to diverse segments of society, in order to ensure authentic, expanded digital citizenship. Inspired by Duplessis' information-documentation model, the proposed model comprises three concentric levels: a methodological core, an intermediate, heuristic-transversal layer, and an outer, educational and training layer. Some characteristics of DH intersect all three levels, guaranteeing dialogue with different scientific communities and society. These include multi-, inter- and trans-disciplinarity, an epistemological vocation that translates into a preference for cross-functional teams, enhancing diversity and the complementarity of skills and professional profiles; co-design, equivalent to design thinking and characterised by a collaborative dimension permeating all conceptual and application phases; modelling, permeating and underpinning the entire DH galaxy; and a methodological approach equivalent to digital thinking that incorporates points of view, knowledge, methods, strategies and tools through progressive integration, according to a functional perspective. The model's applicability is illustrated by examples such as the “Science and Technology Digital Library” and the DH digital libraries derived from it, the H2IOSC project, and the managerial and organisational PON project Beni e patrimonio culturale: governare la progettazione. Finally, the model's effectiveness in consolidating the disciplinary recognition of DH is emphasised, as it justifies and enhances their specificity and their unique role in the public perspective.
Il contributo propone un modello logico-applicativo che sistematizza le conoscenze e le competenze nelle DH in uno schema complessivo, evidenziando l’opportunità di trasferirle, quale prezioso corredo contrassegnato da un solido impianto metodologico, sia alle altre comunità di ricerca che a segmenti diversificati della società, per assicurare un’autentica cittadinanza digitale allargata. Tale modello, ispirato a quello per l’informazione-documentazione di Duplessis, presenta tre livelli concentrici: un nucleo metodologico, uno strato intermedio euristico-trasversale e uno più esterno, di natura didattica e formativa. Alcuni tratti distintivi delle DH intersecano tutti e tre i livelli e garantiscono il confronto dialogico con differenti comunità scientifiche e con la società: la multi-, inter- e trans-disciplinarità, una vocazione epistemologica che si traduce nella predilezione per team interfunzionali e nella valorizzazione delle diversità e della complementarità di competenze e professionalità; la co-progettazione, corrispondente al design thinking, in cui la dimensione collaborativa permea tutte le fasi ideative e applicative; la modellizzazione, che investe e innerva l’intera galassia DH; un approccio metodologico, assimilabile al digital thinking, che incorpora, in un’integrazione progressiva, punti di vista, conoscenze, metodi, strategie e strumenti secondo una prospettiva funzionale. Alcune realizzazioni esemplificano l’applicabilità del modello, fra cui la “Science and Technology Digital Library” e le digital library di ambito DH da essa derivate; il progetto H2IOSC e il PON Beni e patrimonio culturale: governare la progettazione, quest’ultimo di carattere gestionale e organizzativo. Si sottolinea infine l’utilità del modello nel consolidare il riconoscimento disciplinare delle DH, in quanto giustifica e valorizza la loro specificità e il loro ruolo peculiare nella prospettiva pubblica.
