Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) is a widely accepted technique for detecting underwater acoustic signals, suitable to monitor the behavior of marine mammals. PAM involves the use of underwater passive acoustic devices, such as hydrophones. The high commercial costs associated to the required equipment highlights the need of developing affordable systems for enabling the extensive adoption of PAM in aquatic settings.

Abstract
Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) is a widely accepted technique for detecting underwater acoustic signals, suitable to monitor the behavior of marine mammals. PAM involves the use of underwater passive acoustic devices, such as hydrophones. The high commercial costs associated to the required equipment highlights the need of developing affordable systems for enabling the extensive adoption of PAM in aquatic settings.File in questo prodotto:
