The aim of this work is the identification of proper tools for the multimodal delivery of information services on various types of terminals, in the context of a valorisation project for the National Park of Alta Murgia, Italy. An open source approach is proposed to the development of technological solutions that fit diverse aspects of the stakeholder's needs, leveraging the dissemination of ICT resources and personal telecommunication terminals able to natively support the multimodal delivery of informative contents. © 2011 Springer-Verlag.
