This article is devoted to a group of Sardinian Jesuits who played out their missionary duties in the Jesuit Province of Paraguay in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, founding reducciones, writing basic dictionaries of indigenous languages and acting as real cultural mediators between the Indios and the European Peoples in a very important historical period, during which there was, among other things, the passage of the Kingdom of Sardinia by the Bourbon dynasty to the Savoy dynasty and the dissolution of the Society of Jesus
Il contributo è dedicato a un gruppo di gesuiti sardi che svolsero i propri compiti missionari nella Provincia gesuitica del Paraguay tra XVII e XVIII secolo fondando reducciones, scrivendo fondamentali dizionari di lingue indigene e agendo da veri e propri mediatori culturali tra gli Indios e gli Europei in un periodo storico molto importante durante il quale si verificò, tra le altre cose, il passaggio del Regno di Sardegna dalla dinastia dei Borbone a quella dei Savoia e la dissoluzione della Compagnia di Gesù.
