The possibility of reintroducing the European lobster (Homarus gammarus) to restock its natural environment was tested. Larvae were reared with two systems and fed on three different diets. Samples were periodically take for morphometric measurement, total lipid content and fatty acid composition. A great difference was noted in larval growth between the two systems. In samples fed on enriched Artemia nauplii, the total fatty acids content was hidher than those fed on non-reached Artemia. This increase was seen mostly in n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids.
