Abstract

Restoring high-priority applications is generally managed by means of robust solutions, such as flow prioritisation and dedicated connections. In this paper, a less binding situation is taken into account, and an architecture is proposed for the management of medium-priority applications running among LANs connected through the Internet. In the proposed solution, the release of broadband services is decided on the basis of network load and priority of applications.
