The ‘Centro Miglioramento Genetico e Biologia della Vite - C.N.R.’ (now Unit of the ‘Istituto di Virologia Vegetale’), has been carrying on clonal selection on the cultivars of Piedmont, Liguria and Aosta Valley Regions (North-west Italy) for thirty years. The results of this activity are 67 selected clones of 21 different cultivars registered in the Italian National Catalogue of Grapevine Varieties. In the paper the agronomic, virological and enological characters of 20 new clones registered since 2002 up to 2004 are presented. The new clones belong to the cultivars Albarola, Bosco, Dolcetto, Moscato bianco, Nebbiolo, Pelaverga, Rossese, Pigato, Vermentino and Vespolina.
