Abstract

A coupler consisting of two coupled CPW CRLH TLs (CoPlanar Waveguide Composite Right/Left-Handed Transmission L ines) is designed and fabricated. Each CPW CRLH TL is a two cascaded cells of series CPW interdigital capacitors and parallel CPW stubs. The coupler was fabricated on high resistivity silicon substrate, using one mask technological process. The measurements performed on the coupler give evidence for an experimental frequency bandwidth from 10.5 GHz up to 13.5 GHz, in good agreement with the simulation results.
