Abstract
The development of specialist software for 3D visualisation (e.g. Lynx, gocad, Earth Vision) permits reconstruction of complex geological bodies. Examples have been published concerning studies based on boreholes and geophysics, but few have concerned mapped structural bodies (de Kemp, 2000). The systematic use of Geographical Information Systems (GIs) facilitates the management and subsequent analysis and use of geological information contained as cartographic representations in geological maps (Ramsay and Hubert, 1987; Powell, 1992).File in questo prodotto:
