This work shows data relative to the quality of sediments from four different sites chosen along Ionian Sea coast, using biological tests. The use of a single species for a correct evaluation of the toxicity levels can be reductive, compared to the complexity of the ecosystems, so we have used three different organisms: one Amphipoda (Corophium insidiosum), one Isopoda (Idotea baltica) and bacterium Vibriofischeri. The results allow us to determine toxicity of different samples: three of the four sites examined show effects connected to toxicity phenomena.

Abstract
This work shows data relative to the quality of sediments from four different sites chosen along Ionian Sea coast, using biological tests. The use of a single species for a correct evaluation of the toxicity levels can be reductive, compared to the complexity of the ecosystems, so we have used three different organisms: one Amphipoda (Corophium insidiosum), one Isopoda (Idotea baltica) and bacterium Vibriofischeri. The results allow us to determine toxicity of different samples: three of the four sites examined show effects connected to toxicity phenomena.File in questo prodotto:
