The exploration of the area to the South of Temple B began in 2003, starting from the structures that had been identified to a superficial level by previous researches, and was continued in 2005. In particular, two rooms were excavated, VE and VF. They form a unitary complex that was probably accessed from the west through an open room (VG) situated at the end of the presumed access road to the complex to the south of Temple B. It has definitely been confirmed that Temple B is linked to a building that is situated to the South of it, the so-called enclosure TV. The complex formed by enclosure TV, corridor TU and the two rooms VE and VF seems to date to the Geometric period as is also suggested by the material belonging to the first floor of room VF. The complex underwent a first modification in the late Geometric period when it was necessary to adapt it to the construction of the nearby building which determines the diminishing of VE. A small foundation deposit was uncovered in the south east corner of room VE. The location of the complex in the most important sector of the city, its connection with Temple B to the north and the monumental building to the south, and the quality of the manufacture of some of the objects retrieved leads one to think that it is a key area in the public and cultic organisation of the city.

Abstract
The location of the complex in the most important sector of the city, its connection with Temple B to the north and the monumental building to the south, and the quality of the manufacture of some of the objects retrieved leads one to think that it is a key area in the public and cultic organisation of the city.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
