In contemporary cities, venustas construction must begin from urban communities that are changing more and more. All around the world urban regions are characterized by three phenomena: most of world people live in urban areas; urban areas suffer global crisis strongly; urban population is increasingly multicultural. Architects and urban designers can contribute to overcome global socio-economic crisis if they will be able to innovate the approach towards city and architecture. Plans and projects would be able to satisfy the demand of city and architecture that transforming urban communities are asking for. In urban and architectural design, the objective concerns with intercultural languages that integrate multiculturalism of urban contemporary societies with specific identities and local memory. Best practices could be individuate in coastal urban areas and port cities.
