The amine groups are generally used to graft biomolecules on biomaterial surfaces. High density amine groups were grafted on a H-NCD surface irradiated with UV photons in ammonia atmosphere. XPS analysis shows the presence of ~2.5% of oxygen which does not affect the diamond conductivity. UV irradiation in a 99% pure ammonia will be performed in the future to reduce the amount of oxygen and obtain better diamond performances.

Abstract

The amine groups are generally used to graft biomolecules on biomaterial surfaces. High density amine groups were grafted on a H-NCD surface irradiated with UV photons in ammonia atmosphere. XPS analysis shows the presence of ~2.5% of oxygen which does not affect the diamond conductivity. UV irradiation in a 99% pure ammonia will be performed in the future to reduce the amount of oxygen and obtain better diamond performances.
