La Commission D2 a été toujours engagée dans le transport frigorifique des denrées périssables. La Commission a préparé une liste des arguments à traiter pour les travails futurs. Ces arguments sont exposés avec une attention particulière aux propriétés thermiques des mousses isolantes (qui vont à etre plus mauvaises), le vieillissement des véhicules, l'étiquetage énergétique et l'utilisation plus large du transport réfrigéré dans les pays chauds qui sont, en plusieurs cases, aussi pays en développement.

The IIR Commission D2 has always been involved into the quality of perishable foodstuffs during transport. The Commission prepared a list of arguments to use for the future work. These arguments are exposed and illustrated, with particular reference to the main problems that refrigerated transport has to overcome in the next years: the worsening of thermal properties of insulating foams, the ageing of vehicles, the energy labeling and the wider use of refrigerated transport in warm and, in some cases, under developed countries.
