Plant viruses, discovered at the end of the nineteenth century, are nowadays responsible for great economic losses, affecting plant value by reducing vigour and marketability. The most compelling viral problems on ornamentals affecting the five continents with contribution of experts locally involved in detection and molecular studies of viruses infecting ornamentals are presented.
