Metal nanoparticles/carbon nanotube hybrid materials have attracted attention because of their promising applications in nanoelectronics as well as highly sensitive sensors. It is well known that different metal nanoparticles have been coated or deposited on the side wall of carbon nanotube and on this basis, in this study, we have explored a new strategy to deposit nanoparticles on side wall of Single Walled Carbon Nanotubes (SWCNTs) by one step reaction in aqueous solutions, where gold nanoparticles could be self-coated on carbon nanotubes during their synthesis processes, using citrate reduction as method for the synthesis of gold nanoparticles.

Abstract
Metal nanoparticles/carbon nanotube hybrid materials have attracted attention because of their promising applications in nanoelectronics as well as highly sensitive sensors. It is well known that different metal nanoparticles have been coated or deposited on the side wall of carbon nanotube and on this basis, in this study, we have explored a new strategy to deposit nanoparticles on side wall of Single Walled Carbon Nanotubes (SWCNTs) by one step reaction in aqueous solutions, where gold nanoparticles could be self-coated on carbon nanotubes during their synthesis processes, using citrate reduction as method for the synthesis of gold nanoparticles.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
