A new syringopeptin was puri®ed from a culture of Pseudomonas syringae pv. syringae NCPPB 3869isolated from laurel and its structure deduced by mass spectrometry and Edman degradation. Itdiffers from syringopeptin 25A only for the C-terminal amino acid residue, which is Phe insteadof Tyr. The phytotoxicity and some other biological activities of the new metabolite arecomparable to those of syringopeptin 25A.

Abstract
A new syringopeptin was puri®ed from a culture of Pseudomonas syringae pv. syringae NCPPB 3869isolated from laurel and its structure deduced by mass spectrometry and Edman degradation. Itdiffers from syringopeptin 25A only for the C-terminal amino acid residue, which is Phe insteadof Tyr. The phytotoxicity and some other biological activities of the new metabolite arecomparable to those of syringopeptin 25A.File in questo prodotto:
