We have been assembled and characterized new electrochem. interferent-free sensors for the detection of NO. For this purpose, a cellulose acetate membrane was placed on the electrode surface with an Oring and also polymeric films have been electropolymerized on the electrode surface, using different monomers as 1.2- and 1.3- diaminobenzene, catechol, resorcinol, 4.4'-dihydroxybenzophenone, pyrrole 2-carboxylic acid. The first electrode, tested for NO detection, was a Pt electrode modified by a cellulose acetate membrane. The detection limit in deaerated and aerated buffer was 20 nM; while in the presence of the interferents it raised to 35 nM. The electrode was then tested in dild. rabbit serum
