In this paper we describe a research work aimed at analyzing information about online courses provided by universities through their web sites; the results of this research activity are compared to the information that students perceive as quality elements in online courses,object of investigation in another research. Finally, we conclude with some considerations concerning dgerent ways of providing information about online academic offer and the importance for universities of giving quality signals to the potential students.
