A noncollinear type-II second-harmonic generation in one-dimensional photonic crystal was demonstrated. The study was carried out by using a 1D structure composed of 15 Al(0.3)Ga(0.7)As/Al 2O3 period. The nonlinearity of (52±12) pm/V in perfect phase matching conditions was also measured. It was observed that model developed for monochromatic plane wave was in qualitative agreement with the simple harmonic generation.

Abstract
