A large amount (231 accessions) oflentil germplasm, collected in Mediterranean regions, Asia and Africa are preserved in the CNR-Ist. del Germoplasma (Bari). in order to characterize this collection, a research project was carried out by the Agrochimica e Agrobiologia Dept, Università di Reggio Calabria and CNR-IG Bari. Valuation of phenotipic and genotipic variability for agronomic traits and yield potential of 231 accessions is the objective of the research programme. Preliminar results are presented.
