Abstract

As part a collaboration between the Germplasm Institute-CNR (Bari, Italy) and Bosco Galdo farm (of the agricultural service of Basilicata region), a project was carried out to safeguard the common landraces from Basilicata. The others are rare populations mainly cultivated for self consumption. Since the future of the collected landraces is unpredictable they were stored ex situ at the Germplasm Institute.
