The paper deals with the use of the Acoustic Analogy in the high speed impulsive noise prediction from helicopter rotors. A volume integration is prformed for the treatment of the nonlinear source term of the Ffowcs Williams Hawkings equation, exploiting different sets of aerodynamic data. An analysis of the computational costs and the perspectives for a complete acceptance of the method within an industrial context are presented.

Abstract
The paper deals with the use of the Acoustic Analogy in the high speed impulsive noise prediction from helicopter rotors. A volume integration is prformed for the treatment of the nonlinear source term of the Ffowcs Williams Hawkings equation, exploiting different sets of aerodynamic data. An analysis of the computational costs and the perspectives for a complete acceptance of the method within an industrial context are presented.File in questo prodotto:
