Abstract
It has been observed in the San Rossore Reserve on the Tyrrhenian coast, that during rough sea conditions with winds blowing inland, the MBAS enrichment in marine spray is in the order of several ?g m-3. The polluting effect of such a flow is discussed. A special cold-wall impactor for use in environments unsaturated by water was employed for collecting vertical time profiles of marine aerosols during strong sea winds. The present results suggest that the MBAS increases, together with the sea salts which are deposited on the surface of the vegetation during stormy weather, could cause damage.File in questo prodotto:
