This submission concerns MEXAR2, a software tool that is currently used to synthesize the operational commands for data downlink from the on-board memory of an interplanetary space mission spacecraft to the ground stations. The tool has been in daily use by the Mission Planning Team of MARS EXPRESS at the European Space Agency since early 2005 and then updated continuously to cope with the changes in the mission. This specific submission refers to the more stable version delivered during 2009 when a number of updates have been actuated on the operational software.

Questo software e' uno dei maggiori risultati nel periodo in esame portato avanti dal gruppo di ricerca CNR denominato Laboratorio per le Tecniche di Pianificazione e Scheduling (http://www.istc.cnr.it/group/pst). Il sistema Mexar2 e' attivo presso l'ESA dal 2005 fino ad oggi (Maggio 2012) contribuendo a fare di Mars Express una delle missioni di successo dell'Agenzia Spaziale Europea.

Abstract
