A molecular approach was performed on 98 isolates belonging to 8 species of Pleurotus genus. RFLP of PCR amplified nuclear and mitochondrial rDNA allowed us to drawn genetic relationship among the different species. RAPD originated a specific fingerprint for every strain that permitted its univocal identification.
